I think,after watching anime since pri 3,
I have always wanted to go to Japan.
Hokkaido to be precise.
And from that,
was born the desire to visit every place on Earth that holds such mesmerising beauty and soul-deep peacefulness.

Like what they say, beauty lies in the eye of the beholder.
And for me, living in this hectic pace of life,
tranquility is a much sought-after way of life.

And so, I have compiled a list of places I would kill to be able to go.

(yes my love for history probably influenced some of my choices. But who could blame me? The absolute beauty of age-old bricks that has weathered through Time and seen births and deaths. The dazzling beauty of the sunsets and sunrise as the rays touch, gently, the stones as though to give a sweet melancholy greeting ;

Another day, another week, another month. We are as endless as Time, as beautiful as gems and as silent as the wind. Here we are, going through another cycle of life, until even that, ends.)

The Eiffel Tower - Paris
Who has never heard of this?
Never thought to at least, in one lifetime, set eyes on its majestic beauty?

The quaint and charming cottages of England.
Thanks Enid Blyton for giving me a good idea of what I want my future home to look like!

Milan.
The grandeur of such a building simply takes one's breath away.
No words, no words could ever describe the awe of being there and looking up at such a monument.

Scotland
Need I even bother to go through such lengths to explain why I think this picture perfectly depicts tranquility?
Switzerland
It simply brings Heidi to mind doesn't it?
The unbelievably fresh water and crisp mountain air.
I can totally imagine myself,
greeting the day with open arms and a lungful of clean air, with the optimism to match.
I can believe that nothing, nothing, will ever bring me down.
Istanbul Turkey.
I was granted the fortune of travelling to Istanbul a few years back.
and it was due to this place,
that brought about my Legs That Travel.

The grand splendour of life seems to be at my very fingertips.

Cairo, Egypt.

Again, I was granted the opportunity of visiting a grand place.
I was here when I was in.. Pri 6?
(God I was so young back then!!)

And I remember, how thunderstruck I was, looking at such a great building.
Because of this, my interest in history got started.

The Leaning Tower of Pisa - Italy

Just once, in my life, I would like to see this.
That's all I ask for.

Hokkaido - Japan

The place I yearn to go to.
Deep in my heart, I know, I will be here, one day.

Venetia
Seduced by the intricate tales of romance and mysterious dark secrets,
this place also found it's way on my list of places to see before I succumb to Death.

How romantic would it be, to be serenaded while being rowed down the river and being witness to the quiet, yet resilient wonder of Venetia?

I have others but this would be on my list of top places to go!

Some were born with the wanderlust. And honestly, I am glad that I am. I know of people who are perfectly content staying in their home country, practically quaking in fear at the very thought of having to board a flight. Whereas I am filled to the brim with zealous excitement and bated breath!

It would be lonely travelling all alone but I'd rather travel alone than with a troublesome companion who would whine and do my head in on a perfectly good holiday!

So to you out there born with the wanderlust,
cheers!
may we meet one day in the train on the way to St. Petersburg or maybe Macau!

Sidenote : maybe it's because I'm Asian so I tend to want to travel to countries in Europe. Like the trait of wanting what one can not have? Yeah, similar.
