Saturday, July 3, 2010 I have always wondered about this conception - gushing means liking.I mean, obviously if you gush about something, you like it. yeah? but what if it's about a person? does that rule hold or does another -albeit slightly subtler one, takes over? I think it's the latter. Yes I do agree that at times, all you do is gush about your other half. "oooh my byf is the best! always giving me trinkets!" or "my gf is soooo understanding and hot to boot!!!" but at times, you do gush about someone else. EVEN to your significant other. "baby today A is nice to me! he helped me find my thumbdrive, lucky found it.. else,my project will go up in smokes. " "baby A treated me to lunch for helping him do his report! at mcd cz i was craving for it!" next thing you know, all hell breaks lose! "YOU FUCKING CHEATING ON ME WOMAN?!" Get the gist? Sometimes I get pissed by the narrowness of people's minds around me. Case in point : I was going out for lunch. H offers to accompany me. I accepted as I dislike going to eat alone. It just freaks me out at times. Ate, had a few laughs and it's back to work. Next thing you know, Tom.Dick and Harry surrounds me and goes "What the hell woman? You have a guy, stop leading my friend on. You talk nonstop about him but as soon as the day is done, you skip happily off to that boyfriend of yours." WELL excuse me I can get along with people but last I check, there was no rule stating - only can go to lunch with same gender if attached Geez give me a break! On a sidenote, my nose refuse to stay on my face (tiring having to run after it with a tissue) and my throat is itching to be pulled out! Thanks Rogue baby for worrying, accompanying me to the clinic, carrying my bag and giving me your love <3<3> |
